Box of Flowers

I made this card, just because I wanted to make a box card that was overflowing with flowers. I didn't have anyone in mind when I was working on it. Today, I found out that a business acquaintance is in need of prayers. Along with my prayers, I'm sending her this Box of Flowers.

Because it is overflowing, I also needed to make an over-sized envelope to place it in. Fortunately, I have Stampin' Up!'s Envelope Punch Board, so that was an easy task.

Supplies:
Stamps - Flower Shop, Petite Petals
Cardstock - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit
DSP - Sweet Sorbet
Ink - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit
Accessories - Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Pansy and Petite Petals punches (the center of the flowers are rhinestone brads which have been retired for a number of years)

Elegant Blooms

This card took constant adjusting. The diagonal cut of the DSP needed more than just Blackberry Bliss, so I embossed it. Laying the DSP on top of the embossed cardstock wasn't quite right, so embossed the two pieces together. The additional embossing helped, but. . . then I decided to color the embossed portion of the DSP with Blackberry Bliss.
Supplies:
Stamp - Papillion Potpourri (123759)
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss (133668), Soft Sky (131203), Whisper White (100730)
DSP - Painted Blooms (137784)
Ink - Blackberry Bliss (133642), Soft Sky (131181)
Accessories - Elegant Butterfly punch (127526), Elegant Lines embossing folder (119277), Pearls (119247) and Rhinestone (119246) jewels

Rose Red Blooms

I'm not sure why I don't use Rose Red very often; I really like this shade of dark pink. Using the color pallet from DSP, makes putting colors together much easier.

Stamps - Papillion Potpourri (123759)
Cardstock - Rose Red (102544), Whisper White (100730)
DSP - Painted Blooms (137784)
Ink - Blackberrty Bliss (133642), Blushing Bride (131172), Rose Red (126954)
Accessories - Bitty Butterfly (129406) and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (119275) punches, Rhinestone (119246) jewels

Decorative Sorbet Dots

This was a fun card to put together. Lots of different textures. Something I did discover, though, is that the pearls will not adhere to any area with ink on it, without a little help. I also discovered that a little droplet of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, makes all the difference.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
DSP - Sweet Sorbet
Ink - Encore Silver (added to the butterfly with a dauber)
Accessories - Butterflies thinlits, Decorative Dots embossing folder, Pearl jewels, Pool Party ribbon

Crazy About Sorbet

I've had this card done for a while, but no time to post it. Sometimes, life just gets in the way. Except for fighting a cold (and losing my voice), life is wonderful. Still having time to make a couple cards, but not enough time to post, is just a little blip.

I am continuing with my one sheet of Sweet Sorbet DSP. This is only card number nine and I still have a lot more pieces to use.

Supplies:
Stamps - Crazy about You, Regarding Dahlias
Cardstock - Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
DSP - Sweet Sorbet
Ink - Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Curly Label punch, Rhinestone jewel

Papillon Sorbet

Sometimes, making a card is a process. I started out with two little strips of DSP, then I added the cardstock. Of course, I then realized the cardstock needed some dimension. From that point I used my Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate, and a piece of ribbon.

I really wanted to include a sentiment on the front, but it was not to be. Instead, I opted for butterflies and flowers. Layering the stamped butterflies on top of the punched cardstock, just adds a bit more definition. From there I just added some "bling" and my card is complete.

Slowly, very slowly, I am beginning to learn that the process sometimes takes a bit more time.
Supplies:
Stamps - Butterfly Basics, Papillon Potpourri
Cardstock - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
DSP - Sweet Sorbet
Ink - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit
Accessories - Butterflies Thinlits die; Pearl and Rhinestone Jewels; Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Butterfly, Itty Bitty Shapes, and  Petite Petals punches; Pool Party ribbon; Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Simply Scored Diagonal Plate

Sweet Thanks

This card was a bit of a challenge. I wanted to stay with the same, basic One-Sheet-Wonder template, which required a rectangle cutout in the middle of the DSP. Unfortunately, I don't have a large rectangular die. In lieu of that, I used my paper trimmer to cut out the middle. From there I layered it to give it a similar look of Triple Time Stamping.

Supplis:
Stamp - Lots of Thanks
Cardstock - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party
DSP - Sweet Sorbet
Ink - Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Sahara Sand
Accessories - Bitty Butterfly and Decorative Label punches, Summer Starfruit twine, Pearl jewels

Indescribable Sorbet

I have been looking at this stamped image on this card for a couple of months. I stamped it, colored it, and cut it out, and there it sat. I had intended to use it on another card, but it just didn't work. This card, utilizing two pieces cut for my One-Sheet-Wonder projects, really needed something to make it pop.

My message here is, just because an image doesn't work for your original idea, hang onto it. Eventually, it will be the perfect piece to finish a card.

Supplies:
Stamp - Indescribable Gift
Cardstock - Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
DSP - Sweet Sorbet
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Blendabilities - Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi
Accessories - Pistachio Pudding ribbon, Rhinestone jewels
