Playing with the MDS again. This card took me several days to create, and I never needed to clean up my mess at the end of each day. Can you imagine all the scraps of paper lying about after making this many flowers? Not only that, but it would probably be really bulky to mail a card with this many three-dimensional elements. The reason it took so long is because I only had a little bit of time to play each evening.
You might have seen on my previous post that my house is under construction. Fortunately, I did not need to pack up my "play room." Unfortunately, I'm not staying at my house right now -- no kitchen, living or dining rooms.
Since I do still have limited down time, I have a need to create something! Yay for MDS! It does take me a bit longer to create a card, but I will be able to print out several of them and use them in the future. I'll even be able to take a basic card and embellish it, or "step it up."
It's official! The remodel to my house is under way. I no longer have a kitchen or living room; including the roof covering the two rooms, and walls are being torn down and re-built. At the moment, we still have water and electricity, but I'm not sure for how much longer.
Unfortunately, this means my card-making days have become non-existent. In my mind, I thought I might be able to pull it off. Hide in my craft room for an hour or two each day, and allow myself time to play and create. Alas, this is not to be. I might find some time to create cards using MDS, but there's no guarantee.
On the bright side, the roof trusses will be delivered next week, and a new roof should be in place by the weekend. The majority of the work should only take a couple of months, and I'll have a larger living/dining room and kitchen, plus a mud room.
Wish me luck, and if you have any words of wisdom to help me keep my sanity, please leave me a comment.
