Elements of a Collage

Through Pinterest, I discovered another blog - My Sandbox. I can't believe I am admitting this, but it took me almost all day to "almost" replicate her card. However, I like her card so much, I was determined to complete it. I would never have come up with this, because she used elements from several stamp sets, and managed to pull them all together.
Supplies: Stamps - Elements of Style, Papaya Collage, Perfectly Preserved, Tiny Tags; Paper - Vellum, Whisper White, Comfort Cafe DSP; Ink - Early Espresso, Gumball Green, Pool Party, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit; Ribbon - Primrose Petals Stitched Satin; Embossing Powder - Clear

Bison In Wilderness

As promised, here is the other birthday card for one of my nephews. This is one of those cards where I had something totally different in mind. After I trashed that idea (literally), I decided on this design. The best part about this one is, it sort of fell into place. It still isn't what I had envisioned, it's better! Love when that happens.

Country Birthday

A couple of male relatives have birthdays coming up. Here is one of the cards I made.
I'm hoping to have the second card completed and posted later today.

Large Lovely Tree

I just found out today a friend, who works with my husband, fell and broke his hip. He is doing fine, but I wanted to make a card large enough for all his friends and co-workers to sign. Instead of using the traditional 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of card stock, I used a slightly larger 10 x 6-1/2 card stock. I've made a couple of other cards similar to this one, but since we live in the mountains, I just can't resist. I discovered the idea from Stamp Up Your Craft and still enjoy making it.

Supplies: Stamp - Lovely As A Tree; Paper - Always Artichoke, Early Espresso Core'dinations, Very Vanilla; Ink - Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder; Embossing Folder - Woodgrain; Ribbon - Natural Trim (really compliments the woodgrain.

Clean & Simple Flourish

This is a super easy, quick card to make. It would be perfect if you wanted to make a stack of cards for a friend or a class, or even a few challenges! This one is inspired by the color choices at Color Throwdown, and the CAS challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More, and Stampin' Royalty. I just love the way these soft colors work together.
Supplies: Stamp - Flowering Flourishes; Paper - Crumb Cake (1-3/4 x 3-1/2), So Saffron (4 x 5-1/4), Whisper White (1-1/2 x 3-1/4); Ink - Pool Party; Ribbon - Ruffled Calypso Coral

Perfect Harvest

I've had this stamp set for a while now, but I've mostly used just the mason jar stamp as a flower vase. After all, that was the main reason I bought it. Today I decided I needed to branch out a bit, so I created this card. It was fun creating a card that is not my usual design style. I hope you enjoy it.
Supplies: Stamps - Perfectly Preserved; Paper - Island Indigo, Very Vanilla, Orchard Harvest DSP; Ink - Cajun Craze, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, More Mustard, Raspberry Ripple; Framelits - Cannery Set; Ribbon - Lucky Limeade Organdy (ret.); Embossing Powder - Clear

Flying High

This week, Dynamic Duo chose Daffodil Delight and Garden Green as the duo of colors. Of course, my mind instantly went to "flowers." With names like Daffodil and Garden, my challenge was coming up with a design that was NOT flowers. Next step - look at my stamps for inspiration. Ah ha! Up, Up & Away. Then I had to put my idea onto paper. Sometimes what I have in mind works, and sometimes it doesn't. This time? It Worked!

Supplies: Stamps - Up, Up & Away; Paper - Whisper White, and Regals Collection and Beyond the Garden (ret.) DSPs; Ink - Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green; Embossing Folder - Cloudy Day
